Plain-language data handling.

RivalLens uses page context only to create the brief you request from the Chrome extension.

What page data is processed

When you run RivalLens, the extension reads content and metadata from the active webpage so it can understand what the page says and produce a useful brief.

What is used only to generate the brief

Page content, page metadata, and your request to generate a brief are used for the summarization workflow. The generated output is meant for your current research session and reuse in your own notes.

What RivalLens does not collect or store

RivalLens does not collect, store, sell, or share your page content. RivalLens does not add analytics, ad tracking, accounts, or a server-side brief history.

Browser permissions and Chrome AI

RivalLens needs browser permissions to read the active page and open the extension side panel. The brief workflow relies on Chrome's built-in AI, so Chrome's availability and behavior for that feature are part of the experience.
